Starting in February the JCARS Club will add a once a month Simplex Net, currently that will be held immediately following the regular scheduled repeater net in an effort to see what participants can hear other stations directly, find our big footprint stations and be more prepared for communications loss should we ever have our repeater or power go down.
Currently the plan is to hold this once a month on the calling frequency 146.520 and directly after the Thursday Night Net PRIOR to our monthly meeting, this will allow for us to discuss the results days later at the monthly meeting. Possible HF Net coming once we get momentum on this one.
Don’t forget our first Lunch on Tuesday, Jan 21st, Noon, Sylva Bojangles … get out of the cold and enjoy some warm food and company. Please bring any questions or ham gear you’d like help with, we always try to fit in some elmering at our meet-ups … friends and family members welcome to come along.
