Saturday August 2nd at 9am, is our first Saturday breakfast at the Sylva McDonalds, we tend to meet along the drive-thru side of the dining area. If you need some help programming an HT, please bring your radio, programming cable and a laptop with Chirp (or other programming software) loaded to it.
August 16th the regular Club Meeting WILL NOT be at the Rec Center, instead will be going up to Waterrock Knob on the Blue Ridge Parkway. This will be hands on Field Operations and perhaps some POTA for those interested in Parks On The Air. If you are a Technician License here’s your chance to work some HF on several bands under the umbrella of General and Extra Licensees. Time was noted as 8:30 AM but that is likely for those setting up stations, normal Club time is 9:00AM, think about water, snacks and lawn chairs, it will be cooler at 6,000’.
Lunch will fall on Tuesday August 19th this month, no time or place determined at this point, check in to the Thursday Night Nets for more info or attend the Club function at Waterrock Knob.
