The June 20th Club Meeting will be at the Jackson County Rec Center, however our meeting room is unavailable this month so plan to gather in the parking lot at 9am and do the “planning’ for Summer Field Day.
Club Lunch will fall on Tuesday June 23rd, time to meet and eat is 11:30am at Mabel’s Kitchen in Dillsboro Court. All are welcome.
ARRL Summer Field Day is coming up at the end of the month, the participating Club Members will begin setting up June 27 around 11:30am at the Jackson County Rec Center Pavilion. “On Air” begins at 1800 UTC or 2pm Local Time. This is a great opportunity to come watch some radio work and participate, bring your lawn chairs and perhaps sun shade, hydration, snacks, etc. This is generally a weather permitting event, in case of thunderstorms we will likely have to cancel for Safety.
SAVE THE DATES:
– WCARS (Waynesville) Hamfest is July 25th and will be considered the Club Meeting for the month of July, so NO Jackson County Rec Center meeting. Instead plan to come to the Hamfest to further your love of the Hobby and perhaps leave some hard earned cash in exchange for some RF booty.
– The Club will participate in WCU’s Mountain Heritage Week on September 26th, more info as we get closer.
