As fall starts the cool off and we look forward to the coming colors plan to make some time for radio activities.
WCU Mountain Days: The JCARS Club will have a booth one day only, September 26th, 11am-3pm, please stop by to meet Club Members and see what Amateur Radio is about.
Food: In both September and October we will have the usual first Saturday Club Breakfast (9am) and Tuesday (following the monthly meeting) Club Lunch (11:30am) both are held at Mable’s Kitchen in Dillsboro. All are Welcome.
Our September Club meeting will be Saturday, September 19th at the Jackson County Rec Center, 9am. After the opening comments the meeting will move to the parking lot to explore the various radio installations members have in their vehicles. Get ideas for your install or show off your Ham Shack on wheels.
Our October Club meeting will be Saturday, October 17th at the Jackson County Rec Center, 9am. This meeting we will explore developing the very popular Mesh Networks (Meshtastic/Meshcore) here in Jackson County. These are outside of an Amateur Radio license and can be used by everyone during an emergency with-out the internet.
